19 week Ultrasound & 20 week Appointment

Last week I had my 19 week appointment which included the big gender ultrasound.  We were heading out of town after the appointment so we took Gabe with us.  Thankfully Eric's Dad was able to come with us to keep Gabe entertained so we didn't have to take him into the appointment with us.

Here is our baby girl.

Here's the Looonng video.

Dr. Banks was in Labor/Delivery so I had to reschedule my meeting with him for yesterday.  All was good with baby and me.

Current Stats:
Due Date: April 17th 2013
Total Weight gain: -4lbs
Gender: GIRL!!
Movement: Lots and more often
How I am feeling: I am getting tired a lot and ready to go to bed early almost every night.  My SI is almost in full swing...not fun, but other than that I am pretty good.
Next Appointment: December 26th...this will be the fun Glucose test...hooray!

Gabe's Pretty Little Tree

I decided we needed to think of a new craft to do and with all these leaves outside this is what we came up with...

We got all bundled up in our coats and hats, grabbed a bucket and began our adventure...
We searched the front and back yard for the most wonderful of leaves...
We walked up and down the side walk, looked North, South, East, & West...exploring everything as we went.

We even found an old birds nest...(should have taken a picture, but it looked a little like this.)

We found the most wonderful of tiny branches with LOST of little leaves...perfect for little hands to create and paint a Pretty Little Tree...

We brought in our treasures and got strait to work...Mommy hot glued the twig to the paper and Gabe began his artwork...

We had so much fun, gluing the leaves...

But Gabe's favorite part was painting the Pretty Little Tree...

Look how pretty, how beautiful and grand...

That is until Mommy left the room and Gabe got heavy with hand...

But Gabe is so proud of his artwork, look at that glee...

and all because we painted a Pretty Little Tree.

Cast your vote!

Yesterday I went to the OB for a Checkup/Ultrasound since I fell on Sunday.  They just wanted to make sure that everything was ok and still intact.

All is great with the baby, mommy is still sore and will be for a while but that is what I get for falling on my butt! :)

While I was getting my Ultrasound I asked if we could try to take a sneak peek at the sex of the baby.  We got a pretty good shot.  The Ultrasound tech, my Doctor, and my friend (who is a midwife) all said the same thing...so...I guess we don't have to wait until the 21st as originally planned.

We still have the appointment on the 21st to be 100% sure of the sex as well as do all the important measuring so we are waiting to make the announcement official until then.  Of course we have told friends and close family, but we don't want to tell everyone and then the Ultrasound be wrong.

So, with all of that being said, please cast your vote on my blog...

Pitter-Patter

The precious pitter-patter in my tummy has begun.  I started feeling the butterflies a lot this past week and yesterday I felt a true kick and again today.  Right now it is very subtle, but I know soon enough I will have a foot stuck in my ribs. lol!

Third times the charm...yakety yak

Something new has been happening with this pregnancy...started about two weeks ago.  I can't seem to brush my teeth without getting gagged (that is putting it nicely).  No matter what time of day it is I brush once, I get gagged...then I have to brush again which I also get gagged...of course this means I need to brush yet again and I am usually good by the third time.  I am not enjoying this.

Has anyone else experienced this?  I read on line that it is pretty common and my Mom said she did when she was pregnant with me, but I never did with Gabe.  Wondering if it is a baby girl omen???

12 week appointment & ultrasound

I was still too early for Dr. Banks to check the heart beat in the room, so he sent me for an ultrasound because he didn't want me to leave without hearing the heartbeat...though I did graduate from the probe.

Dr. Banks is such a great doctor!  I just love him!  He has been so wonderful through all my sickness and has taken such great care of me taking extra time to see me and even give me fluids himself when I was dehydrated.  I couldn't ask for a better doctor or nursing staff.

Baby is 11w6d - measuring 12w2d

Current Stats:
Due Date: April 17th 2013
Weight gain: -5lbs
Gender: ???
Heart-rate: 161bpm
Movement: Nothing just yet
How I am feeling: I have already started to feel a lot of stretching a pulling.  Pretty sure this is going to be a big baby...though if I am lucky I won't go to full term.  I had Gabe at 36w1d and he was perfectly healthy so I wouldn't be upset if this pregnancy ended before my due date.  Not to mention my best friend is about 5 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy so it would be so cool if we could both deliver around the same time. :o)
Next Appointment: October 31st @10:15am Online Gender Predictor Says...

Average Heartrate for Gestational Age: 164.04

Last week Gabe said it was a baby brother...today it is a baby sister.  My guess it is a boy, but we will find out for sure in 7 weeks.

Wiggle Worm

I had to go to the Doctor today for a follow up since I have been so sick the whole 1st trimester.  Looks like I am getting better and I may be out of the woods soon...or at least see the clearing up ahead.

Here is our little Wiggle worm...

I couldn't believe how busy she/he was!  I just hope that she/he gives mommy a rest when she gets big enough for me to feel all that movement.

(You have to press play before you can see anything on this video...)

Baby is measuring: 10 weeks and 6 days
Fetal HR 169 bpm (Girl or Boy??? what do you think?)
Weight gain...err loss: -4.7 lbs

Ad nauseam

Ad nauseam is a Latin term used to describe something unpleasurable which has continued "to [the point of] nausea".[1][2] For example, the sentence, "I have been so nauseous during this pregnancy...it has been to the point of ad nauseam."  At least I think I used it correctly. LOL!

Lets see...we found out I was pregnant about 10 weeks ago or so and I think I have been sick for...lets see...yea...about 10 weeks!!  Ugg...it has been pretty awful and I have felt like the being burden to Eric but he has been wonderful and has tried his best not to complain too much.

I have felt a little bit better the past few days and I am nearing the elusive 12 week mark that should end all the 1st trimester sickness, but I don't want to hold my breath.  I was not even close to being this sick with Gabe...so I don't know what to expect.  I have had to go in to the Hospital twice for dehydration and malnutrition because it was so bad...however yesterday and today I have managed to eat pretty well AND keep it all down.  Hoping all continues this way...

I have a follow up tomorrow with Dr. Banks.  He wants to make sure that I am getting enough to eat and staying hydrated.  Next week is the big 12 week appointment where we should get another ultrasound (at least we did with Gabe) and I will have a bunch of blood taken for all the genetic tests.

Hello Baby!

Marshall Baby #2 due in April of 2013

We are super excited to add another family member.  Eric really would like a girl...I would also love a little girl to dress up, but part of me keeps saying, "but we already have all this boy stuff."  Without trying to sound too much like a cliche we will be happy as long as the baby is healthy, happy, and doesn't cry all night!

We still haven't gone "Facebook Official" with our announcement, but I am pretty sure that everyone already knows by word of mouth...more specifically my father. :o)  He is so excited I think he stops complete strangers just so he can share the news again.

We are incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful family on both sides.  I don't know what I did in a previous life to deserve such love and support, but I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents and in-laws.  I love you guys very much.

Don't know how we lived without it!

5out of 5

Pros: Great value, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability, Video selection, Easy to set up, High quality picture, Easy to use

Best Uses: Primary TV, Secondary TV, Living room

Describe Yourself: Home entertainment enthusiast, Netflix fan, Power User, Movie buff

We use it mainly in our living room, but it is SO easy to use that we can just unplug and move downstairs in our "men's den". We honestly have had so much fun just playing Angry Birds...but we also watch Netflix daily as well as Crackle and Amazon. There are just TOO many things that you can do I can't imagine anyone not loving it!
